Intergenerational Music and Movement Classes

For over a year now, our intergenerational music and movement classes have been bringing together young children and Craddock House residents in a beautiful exchange of energy and joy. These  sessions create meaningful connections across generations through shared music, rhythmic activities, and creative movement.

The delight is visible on everyone's faces - from the sparkle in residents' eyes as they watch children dance freely, to the children's excitement when they help and interact with all the "Grannies and Grandads". These interactions foster understanding and empathy while creating moments of pure happiness for all involved.

Residents often comment on how the children's presence brightens their entire week, while parents appreciate the unique social experience their little ones gain. Staff have noted remarkable improvements in residents' mood and engagement following these sessions.
