When you make a booking with us, you are asked to confirm that you have read and agree to our terms and conditions.

​

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR INDOOR AND OUTDOOR BOOKINGS

​

Please note that term bookings cannot be rescheduled, changed or refunded.

​

Places for all classes/courses are allocated on a first come, first served basis upon receipt of full payment.

​

If you have booked for a drop-in session for Twinkle Kids and you can no longer make it, you must give 72 hours notice minimum in order for the space to be filled. Failure to provide 72 hours notice will forfeit your place at Twinkle Kids and a refund or reschedule cannot be issued. if you give over 72 hours notice for cancellation of a drop in class, Twinkle Kids will try their best to facilitate a reschedule or refund.

OUTDOOR NATURE PLAY WORKSHOPS:

​

  • Please dress appropriately for the weather. The class will be fully outdoors, so waterproofs, coats, hats, wellies etc may be needed!

  • Parent/guardian must accompany child at all times for the duration of class.

  • Please bring all rubbish home with you including nappies/wipes/diapers.

  • Parent/Guardian must inform Twinkle Kids in advance of class of any allergies, special needs or other that we need to be aware of.

  • Class will start at the scheduled time sharp and end 75 minutes after the start time. Please be on time to make the most of the class!

  • Weather warning - if there is a weather warning in place for the county the class is located in, the class will be cancelled. Anyone who has booked on to the class affected by the weather warning will be offered a rescheduled class. Refunds will not be offered for classes cancelled due to weather warnings.

  • Adverse Weather - The Irish weather is very unpredictable. Please be advised that if the weather is persistently rainy or windy class may need to end earlier than 75 minutes. This decision will be made by the class leader after a risk assessment is conducted. If the class leader deems the class suitable to continue, the session will continue as normal despite the weather. If the class leader deems the weather to be unsafe, the class will need to end early. Refunds cannot be offered for a session that needs to be cancelled due to adverse weather but a reschedule will be facilitated.

  • ***Safety Notice*** 
    Due to the outdoor nature of this playgroup, there will on occasion be small parts and inedible materials (sand, gravel, compost, grass, leaves etc) used as part of play and to enhance the natural play experience. Parents are asked to supervise their child at all times during the workshop to make sure any small parts or inedible items are not ingested or swallowed. Parents MUST inform Twinkle Kids of any allergies or sensitivities at the time of booking.

PHOTO POLICY

 

  • Please feel free to take photos of your own child or children during the workshop but be mindful of others. No recording or images of children other than your own are permitted to be taken in class.

​

  • If you are happy for Twinkle Kids to share your photos you can tag @twinklekidsireland on Facebook and Instagram. If tagging, please make sure other faces are blocked out or the photo shows your child only. 

​

COVID-19 POLICY:​

​

  • Please stay at home if you, your child or anyone in your household:

  • Has COVID 19 or has symptoms of COVID 19.

  • Are awaiting a test or result of test for COVID 19.

  • Have been advised by the HSE to self isolate.

  • The guidelines regarding self-isolation, testing etc...vary for children, vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. In addition, guidelines are frequently changing – this document is not intended to replace HSE advice. Please follow the most up to date advice from the HSE in all circumstances.

ILLNESS POLICY:

​

  • Please stay at home if you or your child are unwell, particularly if you:

    • Have a fever or have had one in the previous 24 hours.

    • Have had an upset stomach or diarrhoea in the previous 48 hours.

    • Have heavy nasal discharge.

    • Have discharging eyes.​

ABSENCE POLICY:

​

  • If you are unable to attend a class/course/workshop for any reason, including illness, we regret that it is not possible to facilitate ‘catch up’ sessions.

​

  • If you are unable to attend a class/course/workshop for any reason, refunds will not be provided for the sessions you have missed.

​

CANCELLATION DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS:

​

  • In the event that a class/course/workshop cannot take place in person as planned due to COVID 19 restrictions, you will be given the option to attend the class/course/workshop online, wait for restrictions to be lifted or recieve a full refund.

​

  • In the event that a course has already commenced and cannot continue in person due to the introduction of COVID 19 restrictions, the remainder of the course will move online. A refund will not be offered should you choose not to attend the remaining online classes.

​

  • In the event that your instructor is required to self-isolate due to contracting COVID 19 or being considered a close contact, classes/courses/workshops will move online temporarily or be rescheduled. Refunds will not be offered if you choose not to attend the online class/course/workshop or attend the rescheduled sessions.

​

LIABILITY:

 

Twinkle Kids Classes are designed with safety in mind. Twinkle Kids does not hold any liability for any injuries or accidents that occur during the class.

​

Katie from Twinkle Kids is insured with public liability, Garda Vetted and a degree qualified Early Childhood Educator. Katie also holds  Paediatric First Aid and is a member of Early Childhood Ireland.

Twinkle Kids Safety Statement

Twinkle Kids believes that:

 

1. Our priority to ensure the welfare and safety of every child and young person who attends our service

2. Our guiding principles and procedures to safeguard children and young people reflect national policy and legislation and we will review our guiding principles and child safeguarding procedures every two years.  Our guiding principles are underpinned by Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children, Tusla’s Child Safeguarding: A Guide for Policy, Procedure and Practice, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and current legislation such as the Children First Act 2015, Child Care Act 1991, Protections for Persons Reporting Child Abuse Act 1998 and the National Vetting Bureau Act 2012.

3. All children and young people have an equal right to attend a service that respects them as individuals and encourages them to reach their potential, regardless of their background.

5. Our guiding principles apply to everyone in our organisation.
